Porcelain Plus
Highly flexible, polymer-modified cementitious adhesive for large porcelain tile slabs.

Porcelain Plus is a deformable cementitious adhesive with improved characteristics, slip resistance, and extended open time (as per ISO-13007-1 class C2 TE S1 description). It consists of carefully selected sand, fillers, and functional additives. The white powder product is pre-weighed in bags, ready to use, and suitable for all porcelain tile formats and most known substrates. It also has excellent deformation properties and outstanding adhesion strength.

It is suitable for buildings with underfloor heating and can be used internally and externally. Porcelain Plus can be applied on walls at a thickness of 2 – 10 mm and on floors at a thickness of 2 – 20 mm

Uses
- Specially designed for large porcelain tiles and slabs.
- Can be applied on most known substrates like concrete, plaster, lightweight bricks, blocks, cement and gypsum boards.
Advantages
- Factory-controlled pre-blend ensures consistently high quality.
- Requires only the addition of water on-site at the time of use.
- Easy tile installation that enables high productivity.
- Excellent coverage.
- Excellent open time with outstanding workability.
- High adhesion to various substrates.
- Suitable for wet and dry areas.
- Suitable for horizontal and vertical surfaces
Usage Instructions
The surface should be sound, clean, and free from loose material, oil, grease, laitance, dirt, curing compound, etc. Dry and absorbent surfaces must be moistened. Ensure the surface is solid for tiling, particularly when fixing very large tiles and slabs.
Pour 6 – 7 liters of water into a container, then add 20 kg of Porcelain Plus powder. Mix using a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved. Allow the mixture to sit for about 10 minutes, then remix briefly without adding more water before use.
You can blend Porcelain Plus manually for small quantities, however, you must maintain the correct ratio of powder to water. Use the mixed material within 3 hours.
Apply Porcelain Plus on the substrate by using a suitable trowel depending on the tile size (preferably a 12 mm notched trowel for a slab), then comb it in one direction. Apply Porcelain Plus on the slab’s backside using the flat edge of the trowel but do not comb (Back buttering). Install the slab in its place then tap and press firmly (or use a tile fixing vibrator) to ensure that the tile is sitting on the substrate with the maximum coverage and contact between the tile’s back and the adhesive on the substrate.
Do not apply Porcelain Plus on an area that takes more than 15 minutes to be tiled!
A useful practice to check application efficiency is to remove a slab directly after application and observe the contact surface (adhesive on substrate and the back of the slab). This can be done randomly from the applicator’s perspective and then reinstalled. This should always be done for the first slab to give the applicator an idea of how much adhesive is needed for the best contact.
Recommended coverage is more than 90% for external use and more than 80% for internal use. The slab position can be adjusted without losing any adhesion for 15 minutes.
Leave installed tiles undisturbed for at least 24 hours. Porcelain Plus must not rise between the tile joints higher than half to two-thirds of the thickness of the porcelain slab tiles.
It is recommended to use Vetonit Tile Grout to fill the joint gaps 2 days after tile installation.
- Low temperatures and high air humidity will retard the curing and drying process and vice versa.
- The best coverage can be achieved on flat surfaces.
Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Remove the hardened material using mechanical means.
