Plaster Gypsum

High quality gypsum plaster.

Plaster Gypsum is composed of retarded gypsum, selected aggregates, and special additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags that are ready to use on-site (this only requires adding clean water to produce a cohesive mix). Plaster Gypsum is a high-quality product that provides a very smooth surface when used as an underlayment for paints, decorative coatings, and wallpapers.

Uses

 • To plaster block walls and rough surfaces (Indoors).
 • Plastering fair-faced concrete and precast panels.
 • Improving thermal resistance properties and sound dampening.

Advantages

 • Factory-controlled pre-blend ensures consistency high-quality.
 • Requires only the addition of water on-site at the time of use.
 • It can be applied by using plastering machines.
 • Single coat application with improved workability.
 • Easy application with a uniform workflow (this enables high productivity and superior finishing).
 • Strong adhesion onto a variety of substrates. u
 • deal to achieve a smooth finish.
 • Suitable for humid and dry conditions.

Usage Instructions

The substrate should be sound, clean, & free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt, curing compounds, etc. Before applying Plaster Gypsum, wet the surface with clean potable water and dry it.

For manual mixing, add 10 - 12 liters of water (for each 35-Kg bag of Plaster Gypsum) to a mixing container. (For machine application, a water flow rate of 450 - 650 Ltr./ Hour is recommended).

Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3 - 4 minutes until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved..

You can mix Plaster Gypsum manually (for small quantities), however, you must maintain the correct ratio of powder:water. Mix for approximately 1 - 2 minutes until you have a homogeneous mix.

Sand blast smooth concrete substrates to make sure they’re clean and prepared (You can also use a wire brush)

Optionally, and for more adhesion, add 0.5 liters of Vetonit Bond 2 to the mixing water. Use the mixed material within 30 minutes.

Do not add water once the mixed plaster mortar begins to harden.

Plaster Gypsum is generally applied in a single coat. Use directly on block walls and rough surfaces. (On smooth concrete surfaces, follow the recommendations mentioned above).

Apply the mixed material using a spray machine or the ‘trowel technique’ to cover the desired area. (Lightweight leveling tools are required in conjunction with a trowel to fill in holes).

When the plaster lightly hardens, treat the surface to a smooth level to eliminate all traces of protrusions and undulations (waves). Let the plaster set for about 30 minutes, then, and using a wet sponge, wipe the surface to a creamy smooth finish.

Let the Plaster Gypsum fully dry and Do not use water to cure it. Apply your choice of paints and coatings once the plaster dries completely (this generally happens after 7 days).

Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Remove hardened material mechanically
