Vetoproof CR747
Rapid setting cementitious water plugging mortar.

Vetoproof CR747 is a single component rapid setting cementitious water plugging mortar that sets in 45 seconds. The product is composed of a blend of powders, specialty cement, and special additives to enable fast reaction and non-washability of the products once applied to concrete or masonry sections with the presence of flowing water.

Uses
- Temporary patching and stop flowing water from concrete and masonry segments.
- Emergency water stopping of service entry points in manholes or broken cementitious pipes at low pressure.
Advantages
- Chloride free formulation.
- Rapid setting enabling emergency water stopping.
- Allows over-lining with epoxy mortar to have a permanent solution.
- Usable in horizontal, vertical, and overhead situations.
- Single component - easy to use.
Usage Instructions
Cut back areas to be patched to a depth of 15mm and give it the correct mechanical key. Feather-edges must not be allowed. Brush clean the surface to remove loose material, dust, and laitance. Remove grease, slime, or mold growth by steam cleaning or by high-pressure water jetting. Use a proprietary degreasing agent for the removal of light oil or grease contamination. To seal leaks, chase out the crack openings to approximately 20mm square. The chase should always be undercut to avoid leaving a v-section. Remove all loose material and debris.
Add Vetoproof CR747 to clean water in the following proportions:
One part clean water : 3 parts of Vetoproof CR747 (measured by volume).
Mix to a stiff consistency in a suitable mixing drum or bucket, using a trowel or gloved hand. Due to the product’s rapid set characteristics, only prepare a quantity of mortar that can be placed within the prescribed set time.
Trowel apply or hand-knead the mixed mortar in place, ensuring maximum contact with the substrate before the material sets. Vetoproof CR747 should be used and held until the initial setting is reached if used to plug running water.
Note the minimum applied thickness of Vetoproof CR747 should be 15mm.
In cold conditions down to 1°C, warm water (up to 20°C) is advisable to accelerate strength development. Standard precautions for winter working with cementitious materials should be adopted. The material should not be applied when the substrate and/or air temperature is 1°C and falling. At 1°C static temperature or 1°C and rising, the application may proceed.
At ambient temperatures above 35°C, store the material in the shade and use cool water (down to 20°C) for mixing.
Remove Vetoproof CR747 product from tools, equipment, and mixers with clean water before the initial set. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
